displacement clipping and problems?

So.
I’m trying to make a very subtle displacement for a cylinder.
The problem is that I’m getting all sorts of weird artefacts.
The sides just goes super white if I stop up and i get clipping on the lowest points…

Any suggestions what I’m doing wrong?

how does your object look if you displace your lowres with the dispmap…?

import lowres into new scene…
subD lowres up to highest level…
maps --> sculpt model unsing dispmap…
