Hi all.
I’m looking to buy Combustion to enhance my 3ds max pipeline. I also need something for basic video editing and DVD authoring. I’m familiar with the Abobe prdoucts Premiere and Encore that would do these jobs nicely. Is there an equivalent Discreet product for these 2 Adobe products? If so, is there any advantage using them since I’m already using Discreet software for modeling, rendering, and compositing?

The only Editing stuff are there systems which are $500,000+ and there are no DVD authoring tools that I know of. Another options would be the Vegas Video/DVD Architect Suite. I personally like Vegas over Adobe, plus Vegas is made by the same company who makes Acid and Sonic Foundry if you are using them for audio.

there also used to be (?) discreet edit, a pc/windows based editor, however i believe it is tied to certain video i/o cards but far cheaper than fire/smoke. not sure if edit is still alive or not.
