hey, Overall i like the image but there are a few points
its look is mono-chrometic type
depth of field is high
foreground elemets detail is really good, nice feel of motion in foreground elements but mid and background is not very clear may be due to higher value of depth of field or blur.
its very atmospheric type image cloudes and smook is covering ur image completely.
perspective is nice.
First Look of Image is like a film title or something like that, which is really good.
good going, keep it up.

hy there. well to me two things look strange.

  1. perspective. it kind of looks like u combined lots of photos with diferent perspectives…
  2. the main building. i dono how do you guys see it, but its a very famous chatedral, not sure in spain , … was it in madrid? so wht i am saying that lots of people will recognise it, which is cool, but, thats not exactly fantasy building

u r right. The main building is a photo taken by my friend. But I don’t know where is it.(I know where is it from your link now):scream:I like it so much, so I want to build a scene, and take it as a focus and then spread out.that’s my first idea.
Here is the picture I used:bowdown:

The cathedral is Gaudi’s still unfinished Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain

I think it’s an interesting piece and it’s an amazing building, but i’m always wary of showing famous buildings in mattes unless

  1. you’re going for complete realism (like a period drama), in the form of an ‘invisible’ matte, or
  2. director has stated he wants the building there as an identifier for the city.

The problem in my opinion is that i’ve seen many mattes which are fantasy but have used, say, st Peter’s or the sears tower as part of the picture, and it just drags you out of the ‘world’ that they are trying to create. The exception to this is when they show the building as part of an alternate past or future where it has been taken into a different context. I just find it odd when someone decides for example to transport say Notre Dame into a jungle matte just because it looks ‘cool’.

anyways, Rant over

I think with this matte you are in that teritory of the alternate future so it’s pretty good. My only note would be that the scale of the Sagrada Familia, in comparison to the surrounding buildings…is really extreme! (i don’t know if this is what you want or not). I mean, at the distance it is in the environment it’s looking like the Burj Dubai scale or something…or even bigger!

Overall though, quite an arresting and powerful image, keep it up!
