“Directing CG architectural movies”
This visualization was done by Claude Kongs and David Horbach in 2011 with Cinema 4D and After Effects, originally under the 3Devotion company label.
Producing this movie was quite straightforward but finishing an in depth tutorial is a different beast.
Our aim was to guide artists which want to improve their skills in creating and directing high-end architectural movies.
By time we got more and more overwhelmed with different commercial projects and finally had to accept the fact that we probably will never be able to finish it.
That’s why we now decided to release our complete source footage to give at least something to the community which has been anticipating this release for a long time.

There is an After Effects file with all the source material.
You have the complete project to analyze our workflow and play around.
Also you will see how we took a plain 3D rendering to bring it to the next level in After Effects and to harmonize all the shots into a finished movie.
There is a Cinema 4D file (and FBX). We had to remove all textures and some objects to avoid copyright issues but there is still plenty to see and inspect.
In addition you have the storyboard and a final rendering of the movie.
Anyway, hopefully some of you still got some benefit from these files.
Sorry to all the people who have followed and contacted us since 2011 on this subject; enjoy the sources!
