Hi, i use Photoshop ONLY after when the mattepainting is done, with all the effects, i merge a lot of layers, but NOT the effects, in general the water is made in, like the lakes are made in maya or 3dsmax, rendered and all the layers, like the boats castles, and others elements are separated in layers, in after effects we put all theses layers in planar objects with really small camera movements, pans, we put particules likes smokes, or others too if needed.
In my videos i show only 7 steps how fro mstart to the end, but in general i have 30 to 300 layers, for somes complexes mattes, the original resolutions are from 2k to 16k.

I have started to write a book “HOW TO”, (in french) about my mattepainting techniques, how i work in productions for movies, all the steps.

Thanks jamesvfx, for copain, for the moment NOTHING in Belgium, i work for one shot the last month for a flemish movie in 2k where i have changed somes ambient colors-shadows in the final shot the name is “plopsa” its a movie for kids.
But for the moment…i found nothing more…still looking for others prods…
