Difficulty translating concept perspective to 3D.

#1

Hey guys,

I’m modeling from a concept but keep coming across what I perceive to be Escher style perspective tricks. Attached is an example.

Clearly, if I can’t reproduce this shape in 3D faithfully then I’ll have to make the necessary adjustments. I was hoping I could see how other people would interpret a shape like this as it’s messing with my mind!

Cheers,

~D

Isn’t this essentially a metal triangle with a bent end to where the rivet is? It seems to be attaching underneath the large beam.
I always have two cameras going at one time to see what it looks like in the concept’s perspective and one for just modelling and moving about the space.

Here’s a very minimal sketch, my idea of what it might look like orthographically.
