Hey,
I haven’t posted anything here yet, so I hope I’ll do it right

Ok, so this is an image of a character I’m working on. She’s from the early 19th century Norway. She’s very free-spirited and a bit wild. And she also has a hypermobility of the joints, so that’s why her right hand looks a bit broken. It’s not really a WIP but since I’d really like a critique I’ll post it here.

It was done entirely in photoshop CS5.

Hope you like it.

You should use references, especially for difficult areas like clothing folds/wrinkles, and how they conform to the figure in difficult to fake spots. Right now you have areas that don’t look credible, such as near the armpit, the waist, or the fallen sleeve.

The hypermobility of joints can be a problem when you display this image by itself, because without knowing the context of the story, viewers will assume you simply messed up on the anatomy, since the deviation isn’t obvious as being intentional.
