Degree thesis about drawing

#1

Hi guys. I’m about to take a degree in graphic design and visual communication, and I’m gonna write my graduation thesis about drawing and representation, it’s meanings and languages, it’s universality (?), it’s evolution, potentials, the conflict and sinergy between traditional and digital and so on.

I’m in the beginning stage, when you try to get your hands on the largest possible number of ideas, notions and concepts, so please help me with anything you think could be useful… links, books, pearls of wisdom…

thank you

Check out the Artistic Anatomy and Figurative Art Forum. It’s linked in my signature.

Thank you!

I’d also like something on the relations between traditional and digital (3d, in particular), if anyone can…

You should read all the sticky threads in this forum, plus many of the past threads as well, as what you’re asking has been discussed a lot. Rebecca’s forum is more about hands on practicing and learning of drawing anatomy and figure, while this forum contains more art foundation theories, general techniques, and philosophical discussions.
