Default Painter 11 Mixer Pad

#1

Does anyone have the default mixer paint pad saved that opens with the first run of painter 11?

I cleared the mixer pad and did not realize the default pad is not saved in the install anywhere.

God I hope so. I need to replace mine too.

I made the unfortunate mistake of letting one of my 6 year olds paint on the computer and the small mixer was far more entertaining to him than the big open canvas he had to work on.

That’s what I get for encouraging artistic growth in my children

But seriously anyone know how to recover it?

Probably obvious questions but does resetting Palettes to default state not bring it back? (Window>Arrange Palettes>Default) Or failing that, the whole application? (Shift/Ctrl/Alt on startup)

No it does not.

I found the location of the mixer pad file. Look in your the location that Painter saves your user files for i.e. it is in a folder something like this “Painter/Default” for the mac- the file you want is called “Mixer Pad” as this is the default.

If you go to your User folder > [Workspace Name] to find the default Mixer Pad installed with Painter 11, you may be disappointed. Even though the file name will be MIxer Pad, if you have another Mixer Pad loaded, that’s what you’ll get instead of the default Painter 11 Mixer Pad.

1. To be sure you find the default Painter 11 Mixer Pad, first go to the Mixer Pad menu and choose Open Mixer Pad, then look here::

Windows - Program Files > Corel > Painter 11 > Resources.

Mac - Applications > Corel Painter 11 > Resources

2. Type . to display all files, highlight Mixer Pad, then click the Open button to load the default Painter 11 Mixer Pad.
