Dark Eden remake

Hi everybody,

first of all, i am not a digitalmattepainter but dmp brought me out of a long periode of doing nothing in 2/3D and being very demotivated.( hope you understand what i mean :wink:

The picture Dark Eden was the result from playing with shaders in cinema4d.
The Original version of Dark Eden was to bright and i didnt liked it.
So i reworked it and thats the result.

Its a combination of 2D and 3D and a little painting.
The foreground and Stalagmites are 3D, the Lava and BG/Sky are pictures.
The heat haze is painted.
The Original size is only 1996x886

The story behind is, the garden Eden is bright and colorfull but, if there is light, there is darkness.

I know its not perfect but i hope you like it.

Hello Rasher, welcome to the forum, it has been quiet here lately and somebody should have replied. I like what you have done, and appreciate the work gone into it.
