You should check to other Threads of Daniel Craig. There is few since 2 years on that forum. Maybe they use better references that can be useful for you.

cheers and good luck.

but thanks for ur advice … i will check them

#4

or these sites:

Ok, any way good luck.

#5

wow those are very helpful … thanks alot :bounce:

#6

First blocking his Face using Zbrush

the first face … looks like putin haha

#7

moving on with this pullover
also created in zbrush :keenly:

#8

Can you share you front/side/3quart of the face… Think i did something wrong with proportion

Also always use eyeball like a phere too block your eyelids.

#9

As for modelling a face start with a very good blocking in a symmetry mode. Specially for the general blocking of the nose mouth and eyes. Now it’s everything but symetrical and it didn’t work

#10

here is a front and side view

#11

If you think of a skull underneath it your anatomy is wrong: the eyes are too deep to be anatomy coorect with Daniel Craig face. The neck and back head is too far away and the ear is too far away too

Dont be afraid the search in the movies to find better references for a proper front and side view to guide you.

#12

i had the feeling that something is wrong … but i did not really figure it out.
Thats a big help

awesome feeedback

I work in the company who did the past Bond movies in the CG department so I have some past knowledge of Daniel Craig. I personnal want to do him from the Road to Perdition movie.

I’m glad your answer well to our critics.

I always never start from nothing. I use an old anatomy study model to reshape in teh actor I want. SO basically I use a good head to start.

Your head is just anatomically wrong so of course you can’t get the likeness easily. But dont worry you will get there

#14

That’s funny, as I never use any headbase, as it leads to “all heads of this artist look alike”. I don’t know if you see it in some portfolios, where artist thinks he made 5 different heads, but they all look the same in many aspects.

#15

Yah I see that a lot specially when people pass from a male model to a female… the face has still a male look to it.

But I use the head base just you get my topology to avoid dynamesh and to get my interior mouth done. I never like to start from scratch

#16

i have fix that

moving on with his pants … started with a dynamesh after that zremeshed it and add more details.

#17

You fix what? the head? can we have a look? For me, the head is more important then the overall body, since the likeness is on a actor face.

#18

this is how it is looking now … i realise that in his younger picture, he more look like ur Adjustment

#19

I don’t know how you use your ref. But Look like you don’t sculpt with your ref underneath your mesh.

You should use Imageplane from Zbrush and save the view to play with it

Now, see the head is that far back, the eyes also and the ears?

You should also use a frame from my gif… I mean… I block you already the side view properly. You should use that as a base at least.

can i see the reference u used for the side view ?
