The last one for now. I am hoping this thread continues , it is great practice.

Daily Speedpainting
Well this really isn’t a “Speedpaint” . I probably spent 4.5 hours on this , the faces on these characters were tough and I am not great at faces.

I guess I am the only one posting here, if anyone is watching this thread you should try doing a couple of speed paints. It is great practice .

Hi Roman
That reminds me I promised I would participate to this thread back in May and now I find it on life support.
Here is my contribution.
One hour only with Painter. Based on the sand castle image with some personal interpretation.

My version of the snow landscape. I used the demo of Corel Photopaint X4, I usually use Photopaint from Corel Draw12

I thought I would post a couple of new images for people to try. Same rules as before.
A snow scene , winter is coming.

And acrobatic pose. Hopefully some of you give this a try.

Michal ,
Here is my take on your Plane image. I used Gimp for the first time here and was learning how to use gimp along the way so I wasn’t concerned about the time. How do you paint straight lines using a Pen/tablet. Couldn’t figure that one out. I took probably 1.5hrs to complete .

Here is another image I did , took 1hr45min in Corel Photopaint. I didn’t add the stranded person like it was suggested.

Well, depends what do you mean - drawing straight lines freehand or using some tool for this? In the first case you need a bigger tablet - like A4 or simillar - and don’t use your wrist to make the straight and long movement. Anyway it’s much harder to do in using tablet that on a paper (like in PS you can’t rotate your canvas arbitrarily). In case you are asking for a tool for straight lines, I can only help with PS - use Shift + LeftMouse (or pet tab) to make a line between you previous leftmouse click and this one. If you hold Shift and draw you will be restrained to X or Y axis only. Both are very usefull.
This one took me something around 1 hour.
