hey everyone,
here is todays picture.

here is my baseball guy… the phot is so cool. Wasn’t really able to meet that… Pose and color wise… but it was a good exercise… Looking forward to see your stuff… 40-50 minutes

hey Siksi very nice effort and welcome to this thread. The 20 minutes is not a stiff rule its more of an proposal to keep the daily practice routine short and painless. If you wish you can spend as long as you wish on the picture.
hey everyone,
here is todays exercise:
take a human head and a animal head and do a combination out of it.
here are some examples to bad I don’t know the artist that did those.

I have a couple of paints here that are from the past week.
First up, house as fort. About an hour in PS, experimenting with custom brushes to get a nice industrial-looking silhouette. I might try and develop this more, and turn it into a matte painting or at least a detailed landscape–neither of which I’ve done before.

And then, the portrait. A frustrating 90 minutes trying to get the face right…and it’s still not there. Blerg. It was the kind of thing where the more I worked on it, the further away I got.

Also, I just want to add a note of thanks to TedNindo for keeping up with this thread and suggesting daily exercises. It’s very useful to have this kind of structured format for practice. So again, thanks.
It’s been a while…thanks to Ted for maintaining this thread…
The form shadows in this have an odd hue…possibly picking up the colour of the ground?

Im going through some of the ‘back-catalogue’.
This one caught my eye because the subject looked like something Vermeer might use.

Hi guys.
Tednindo has two days off. So, I will fill in for Ted.
This shot is from the movie “Lions for Lambs”. I like the angle and the interaction between foreground and background. Hope you like the picture. Have some fun with it.
Cheers,
fischkopf
