#1143

hey Sparreholm and welcome to this thead. Very nicely done

#1144

Well here I am again with my love for strange skin colors and bad movies. The last one was Gene Generation and this one ist Lesbian Vampire Killers. Took me 4 hours.

#1145

Hey everybody,

too bad I’m sick the whole week. So there won’t be any updates. Feel free to scroll back and take any pictures or exercise from the past days.

See you next week.

#1146

Wow, I didn’t know this section existed on CGTalk. How does this thread work? Do you just try to paint the reference image in 20 minutes unless you are given a special objective? Looking forward to participating here. I’ve seen and been impressed by the stuff in your anatomy sketchbook, TedNindo.

#1147

Hey everyone,

I’m back again and lets start with this bust.

#1148

hey heozart and welcome. Just try to paint the reference in the way you like or come up with your way to do the exercise. Time doesn’t really matter but if you can tell us how long it took you…

ok, here is mine. I would say 30 to 40 minutes…

#1149

About 50 minutes.

#1150

Sparreholm - i like your choice of colors … its very vibrant. a bit more details would have been nice though.

well i havent been on this thread for a long time … in fact, i almost forgot about it. :expressionless:
luckily i didnt.

i tried a different approach this time, took me longer than usual, but im quite happy with the result.

the pirates companion. (i somehow read ‘male counterpart’ at first, dont know where that came from.)

#1151

hey Shapemaster your pirate companion is awsome. Really like your colors and that oily look. Very cool. I would really like to see a step by step work in progress of this or an other picture form you. If you feel like posting something I would really appriciate that.

#1152

Hello everyone,

here is todays exercise:

Paint/Draw a diver or a fish or whatever in this underwater cave. Sorry, about the bad quality of the referece material but since you have to repaint it anyway it shouldn’t be to much of a problem.

#1153

thanks man!
too bad i paint on 1 layer only, so i didnt save any wips. i can post some steps for the next one though, shouldnt be a problem (if i dont forget during the process)

#1154

About 80 minutes.

#1155

Very nice stone cold ninja…haha

#1156

Hey everyone,

sorry for the lack of update yesterday but here is the exercise for today.

[b]Turn this house into a fort. With selfdefence turrets and whatever you can come up with.

#1157

very very nice attempt Stone Cold Ninja!

Here’s mine for today. Would need more time to refine it.

But here it is as it is. 20 to 30 minutes:

Hey everyone here is todays reference painting.

Jean-Marc Nattier, Portrait of a Young Woman Painter, 1740s

#1159

hi,

here is my attempt. Don’t think that it looks much like the original but it has its own vibe… or at least I hope so… around 30 minutes

#1160
