Hey AnniDkh!

Very nice how you work with colors and how you painted in a reduced way (jeans). I like it alot!
The left hand is a bit small I think and his chin is a bit short too. But anyway, you did it very well and you get better and better. I really can see how you improve daily.

#723

Hey all,
Here are some images. About 1 h each.
Thanks,
Ironchicken

#724

hey Anni very nice AGAIN!

here’s my attempt still have problems with the perspectiv and proportions 40 -50 mionutes

#725

For today lets try something completely different. Take a friend colleague and draw/paint his head. If you have nobody around take a mirror and draw your own head. Perspective is up to you.

Looking forward to see your portraits!

#726

Had some troubles to see the right colors on this one.
About half an hour.

#727

hi vyse good to see you around.

you gave the image quite a dynamic feel. I had difficulties with the colors as well mine were to saturated.

Here is my portrait for today:

#728

Hey Ted, thx

Cool portrait by the way, I usually like this sketchy feel of portraits much more, than
exact copies with every possible detail.

#729

Hey!

… this is my attempt. Nice portrait Ted. I like the sketch.

#730

thanks fischkopf and Vyse-soa.

#731

For today lets take an helicopter. Have Fun:

#732

Hi guys!

Draw or paint this little lady bug as a mechanical bug (robot). Have a nice weekend!

#733

Less than 45 mins, in Photoshop.

#734

hey remton and welcome to this thread.

Really nice start. Like the way you shaded the helicopter. Good colors too.

#735

Nice work everyone, I really enjoy the colours and technique for the Osprey, Remton. It came out rather well for the speed of the piece.

This seems to be a nice thread to develop skill and speed for the production environment :).

This is a sketch of a good friend of mine. I am in the process of painting it now. I spent about 20 to 30 minutes on this, as I needed to fix some anatomy issues that just kept bugging me sighs :(.

good luck to everyone else and well done

Aethalin

hi
im not good at painting mechanical design at all … it looks too stiff and photographic. im really gonna have to practice painting machines.
1 h ps

#737

hey Aethlin and welcome to this thread. The daily practice is indeed very helpfull a we try to cover as many topics as possible.
You started with a very nice sketch of your friend. I hope we will see more from you in the future.

Hey shapemaster: your picture isn’t bad at all. But if you would like to to more mechanical stuff, I will try to cover that part more often.

#738

Haven’t posted here in a while, but this sounded like a fun topic!

About 1.5 hours in PS

nice idea. I like the strong colors and contrast. Very good to read.

shapemaster
cool to see how you blocked in the parts of the helicopter. very close to the original, good painting.

aethalin
nice rough sketch. keep at it! want to see it in colors

remton
it’s not that exact but good painting. i like how you worked with light and shadow. that gives the heli a nice volume in shape.

tednindo - thanks for the offer, but i think this is not necessary, as im able to find ref on my own. besides, the other users dont seem to like mechanical topics, based on the response to the chopper ref. ^^

fischkopf - thanks!

another one, this one didnt turn out too well … colours are dull, lines too messy
