Hey all,
Have been working along with this thread for a while now. I have been using it as a tool to get familiar with the software. Want to thank those that have kept this thread running. Here are some earlier images. I am not that fast so these were typically 1-2 hours.

frog was about 6 hrs (it was a weekend).
Thanks,
Ironchicken

#706

Thanks for the welcome, Ted. Your anatomy thread is pretty inspiring, I think I’ll start one and do the hands workshop or whatever it was called.

1 hour and a half

.

#707

I was taken by the portable lighting. Where is the battery?

#708

hello ironchicken and welcome to this thread. Very nice that you decided to post your stuff. And don’t let bother you about the time it takes to get these images done. Its not that important. I hope we will see more from you.

hey donom, yeah do that sometimes it will be worth it and the folks overthere are very helpfull. And hands are mybe my next big thing after the heads.

hey andalusite, the light is cool huh? I was thinking the same. There are several possibilites for the batteries. With what ever you can come up would work I guess.

heres mine should have completed it… around 40 minutes

Image for today:

#710

maybe 1h?

#711

very nice AnniDkH, your making progress very fast. You could use darker values in the skin area though.

#712

1 hour. The shadows in the photo are interesting.

#713

Yet more from the archives…

I attempted to make a more dynamic pose for the gladiator, because he wouldn’t stand a chance against Maximus Decimus Meridius standing like that.
Perhaps a little too ambitious for my knowledge of anatomy.

[left]I changed the tone of the alpine scene as I thought it was a bit too perfect.

#715

#716

Anni: Could you explain the process of making that grass? It looks great.

50 minutes.

#717

anni: very nice!

here’s my attempt (25 Minutes):

#718

its always quite complicated to review what i`ve done, because I am new to speedpaintings and especially working with a wacom - so my painting techniques are different from picture to picture.
Hmm, but I think that I first painted the background in a dark green, put some highlights on it and then used a brush, in different greentones, were the strokethickness and opacy depends on the pen pressure. On a new layer I painted the colorful top with maybe 70% smoothness and, by repeatedly decreasing the opacy, also more highlights on the grass.

#719

I see. Thanks.

hey everyone. Here is the picture of the day. You may rotate the image to make it a bit easier.
