Anyone know a way to save custom presets in the format options dialog when creating a new composite?
Obviously you can just use “custom” and then type in all your settings, but I’d like to be able to make new options in that dialog that already have my ‘custom’ settings in place.
I did some digging and found entries in the following two files that seem to point to these settings.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Combustion 4\Locale\xplibstr.txt
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Combustion 4\Locale\xplibstrids.h
items called “IDS_FOOTAGEPRESET_*” where the * is replaced with things like NTSC, PAL, NTSC FULL, CINEMASCOPE, etc. each one of the default format presets. I tried adding my own to no avail.
now that I’ve just dug further into the help file under “Creating Branches in the Workspace” where it talks about Customizing Format Settings, it says “Note: You cannot save your setting as a preset…”
Why not?!! If anyone knows a hack to do this I’d appreciate it…
