Custom Attributes won't MMB scrub smoothly

#1

Hey guys,

Im relatively new and using Maya 2012,
My question is that when im setting custom attributes for my characters leg, such as Ball_Lift and Toe_Lift, when i’d set the driven keys and tested the Ball_Lift by MMB scrubbing in the viewport, the Foot itself snaps between the 3 max, default, and min values, yet the numeric value in the channel box seems to be scrubbing fine. Does anyone know how to fix this so that the foot flexes in a full and proper range of motion?

Many thanks

Post your scene file. If you can see the values in your attribute go between 0 and 1 in the channel box, then you’ve hooked it up incorrectly to what the attribute is actually driving. Without the scene to look at, there’s no way of knowing specifically what you’ve done wrong.

Check the graph and make sure the SDK isn’t set to stepped, if it is, switch it to linear.
