Crowdfunding : 3ds Max Auto-Rig

#1

We presente you our project of automated rig for 3ds Max : LH | Auto-Rig !

We have developed an 3ds Max automated rig which works with all kinds of characters ( biped, quadruped or others ), with a UI for animating as well as other animation scripts.

To facilitate the work of animators, LH | Auto-Rig allows you to choose its complexity (stretch , curves , snaps … ) and optimize its weight for your needs. Moreover , once created, it is still completely customizable and editable by a user with knowledge rig !

Saving time for your productions!

I’ve played a bit with the free model and the rig looks pretty good, Im really curious to see an actual video on the creation of the rig, and how to create different sort of rigs!

thanks for posting and good luck

Hello metamesh,
I thank you for your interest in my project. The rig, on the character of test, isn’t fully completed but I’m glad that you like it already.
I’ll post a video on the creation of the rig and much more gradually.

Thanks for your support, it is encouraging.

Hi JuniorDream , unfortunately i dont have max 2014 so i dont have the chance to test that out ,
besides that i dont find a demonstrating video for the rig result or even procedures for using it just snap shots and images , if you can upliad videos for your sweet tool it will be great , im sure it s good one but just need to see it more clearly

Thank you for your interest, feel free to share

that was really cool video! my only question at this point is if this is only a rig creation tool for biped creatures? what if you wanna have 6 legs 8 arms and 2 heads for example?

thanks and keep the good work!

#7

The rig can make all kinds of characters. For now it is sufficient, for example, to create several arms like in the video and connect it where you want with a “connect at” button in the “extra” part. But the rig is still under development and even simpler functions will be added to it.

New videos arrive to show it, and the functions of rig itself on our youtube or our facebook.

nice, really looking forward to see more videos. Also the importing mocap option seens very straight forward…really impressed

Awesome project. I really like the way the spine works. I plan on throwing some money at this at some point. Looks very flexible. I may have missed it on the project page, but any plans for soft IK extension? Max really needs projects like this!

#10

I donated yesterday some money, I’m surprised this project doesn’t get more exposure.

#11

I’m kind of surprised, too. Should we put a link in the 3dsMax section? I don’t think the rigging section gets as much traffic maybe? I wonder if MaxUnderground’s posted a link to the project yet?

Anyway, I’m going to approach my company about the 300 euro sponsorship since it’s a little more than I can personally afford right now. I’ll chip in a smaller amount myself.

#12

yeah I think there should be another thread on the 3dsmax forum with this topic…

#13

Hello,
Thank you for your support!
Post in the 3ds Max section is a good idea, but I don’t know if I can now because i’ve already posted in this section, maybe do you know ? I will check on that.

#14

yes of course you can post it in that section too, go ahead

#15

Hello,

Looks like a nice script and I like all the little extra scripts that come along with it!

My suggestion would be to make a post over on Tech-Artists.org and if you have LinkedIn, I’d suggest also posting in the “3D Studio Max”, “Autodesk 3ds Max” and “Riggers, Character TD’s and Technical Artists/Animators in Games”.

Good luck!
-Harry
