The lighting doesn’t make sense–you have contradicting form shadows and highlights everywhere (light source placement and color), as if there was no careful consideration given to the lighting setup in this scene, and the forms are rendered with arbitrary light sources.

Is the background monochromatic on purpose? If it is, then it doesn’t really do anything that benefits the image.

Gotcha !. Thanks. This was a concept piece, purely to explore character design. I hadn’t considered it to be an illustrated scene . I didn’t even think to work in correct lighting and such, it wasn’t a concern in such a rough ideas exercise. I know better now.
