Creating directional wind

#1

Hello.

I’m currently using Vue 6 xstream and have run into a challenge that I’m unfamiliar with at the present time.
I’ve created a scene with godrays that I’d like to animate. The clouds are just as I want them but I’m not sure how to set up the wind factor. That is to say, what settings would be considered appropriate for the following:

-Under the “atmosphere editor” there is a setting for “cloud animation”. The ring for “direction” is still a little new to me. If I wish to have the clouds moving towards me in the animation, what setting must the “direction” be set for? Is there a general rule for this controler? The ring works on a 360 degree rotation. How do I use this setting? I have no idea which degree setting will move the clouds in what direction? Have I confused anybody with this question yet?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Derek

i just kinda ran into this problem where a few classmates mentioned that my clouds were moving too fast.

after a few tries i had a bit of luck when i checked the “forbid atmosphere animation”

i then messed with the velocity and rate change, and density along witha other things and got great results with a more realistic moving cloud instead of a cloud looking like its going through a marathon =P

Asuming you are using defalt camera position.
360 ring - top direction away from camera, bottom direction to the camera.
0° - X+
90° - Y+
180° - X-
270° - y-

Thanks so much. That helps to clear things up a lot.
