Any new updates?

#282

Would be nice if there was an update to the original posts so we can see this in action. None of the links I have been clicking on work.

#283

Yes, I had started using Truevision 3D and DX Studio but I’d definitely switch to this in a minute when it becomes available!

Any news at all would really be great. How about some idea of pricing? I’m hoping this isn’t vaporware! Any body else buy Mad FX!

#285

It defintely isn’t vaporware.

#286

BUMP !

It would be awesome to know something more about this puppy now that 9.0 is out?

#287

Its all looking good. Its still getting some bug fixes and some extra features. But trust me, this product will be worth the wait. I put some screen shots of PIM on the newtek forum that which you can find here, this is without radiosity and really is lower poly than what it can handle (it was a port from a shockwave interaction) but once some of other new features are added and tested this will be a must have for an previewe/kiosk/web/game engine.

bump

and grind

It is now February 2007. Anyone know the staus of PIM?

#290

we are only 1 year and 4 month later, it is way too soon to have something going on, there will at least 6 month Open Beta before release.

#291

This was posted in a thread over at NT-forums a while back:

ā€œI still get a new beta every week or more often than that so it’s still going strong.
Tip: start to learn Javascript, that is how you make realtime apps with it.ā€

The date of the post: 07-01-23

#292

Right, I read that post. That’s why I’m confused by coremi’s last post here. Either Pim’s in-development, and we can get an affirmative about it, or it’s not.

coremi now has me baffled.

coremi, are you affiliated with PIM tool?

#293

suffering from feature creep maybe?

#294

LOL!

…

#295

Incredible! Now why the hell arent NT just buying PIM?!??!!?

#296

???WTF???

Maybe because this product has been in development for almost two years? Vaporware, anyone?

#297

Maybe thats why its vaporware cuz NT bought it?
ooh i just realized that sounds like a jab at NT, but i mean maybe its going to be in LW10?

now, 3 yrs later, where are my new cool FX modules?!?!!?!?

#298

Its very cool, and still being worked on. I think its one of the most exciting tool/platform/plugin I have ever been involved with. Not that beta testing is all that ā€œinvolvedā€ but. . . yea. Not vaporware. . .

#299

sorry guys, i have nothing to do with PIM, just everything around Lightwave takes sooooo long, PIM developers are probably waiting for some major changes in SDK or who knows what and with this sooooo looooong Open Beta’s everything gets sooooo delayed. Pim, Fprime, Kray, waiting for 9.2 or 9.5 etc…

hi !

Just to let you know PIM is still alive =>
Here’s something I’ve been working on for about half a year now(on and off, after work).
241843 polygons, 13lights, all textures were painted.
About 1 minute to render.
