Hello everybody
My name is tom, and i’m studying film in east london. We are doing a production of a sexy assasination comedy, and i was hoping i can recruit the help of the online blender community to create an awesome credit sequence. I’m an amateur blender-user myself, but i would do it myself only as a last resort, because it would take me very long and would end up looking, at best, amateurish; And i know there’s a dedicated community of Blenderers, the most supportive software community i’ve ever known, who love cool movies.
The opening credit sequence resembles a 007 opening sequence, but fairly low-key. The shot is of a barebacked woman, she lifts her arm, and the camera pans to the left, to reveal she is holding a pistol, and then to reveal that the pistol has been curiously modified. We hear a the click of the trigger off screen. The curious pistol glows a curious red,and explodes. The rising smoke spells the movie’s title.
The gun, explosion, etc, will be CG, and composited onto the slate of the woman.
In fact, if somebody is willing and able, we’d love to digitally enhance the gory climax of the movie, but that’s a luxury and not a necessity.
Everyone working on the movie is doing it for credit, and no one is getting payed - neither the crew nor the professional actors who take time from making-money to help us make this funny film. However, we are trying to make this credit worthwhile - Our goal with the movie, once it’s finished, is to put it online on it’s own website with bio and contact for everyone who worked on the film. We’ll be submitting it to many online video-streaming sites (We’ll see who accepts us, as this has mild adult content). We will also attempt to submit it to every student/short/independent film festival around the uk.
As an artist myself (traditional, drawing) i’m always weary of people asking for talent and hardwork in exchange for practically nothing; But everynow and then comes a cool project in need of help. This is this project, and if you’re even a little interested, call me! I’ll send you the script, and maybe you’d help us just so this movie sees light of day!
Thanks everybody, keep on blending!
Tom
