Connecting a network of splines


I have this network of splines (imported from a DXF). I want to simulate how rigid this structure would be under gravitational loads. So I am looking for a way to connect all the splines any time they cross or touch each other. The splines themselves have to stay rigid. I have played around a bit with hair tags (dynamics and constraints), but it is way too much work and way too obscure to manually go over each connection.
Is there a way?
