Connect 2 Verts (See Pic)

#1

OK, again sorry for the newbie question, but I am tryin to figure this one out too, and out of most tutorials, cant find this particular one.

How do I CONNECT (not merge) 2 verts? Say I made a cylinder, and I want to the top of the cylinder to connect each vert so I can bend the end into a half moon kinda. Usually in Wings3D, I select each of the Verts, and choose Connect Command.
I cant find anything like it in Modo, or perhaps I dont know where it is more likely, lol.

See this picture:

Connect Picture

The top 2 are from Wings3D, and U see just selected the 2 verts and connected them with the Connect Command. The last pic is from Modo, I selected the 2 verts, and I tried merge, split, join, join average, and no luck…

Is this possible in Modo?

I appreciate the help and again sorry for the newbie question, just trying to learn more Modo…

Thank You…

I’m no expert, but I would use Edge Slice for this (shortcut C).
You just click somewhere near the edge or vert : it will show the percentage of the edge between the 2 nearest verts of the edge you clicked on. Snap to 0% or 100% depending on which of the 2 verts you want to use.
Then do the same thing on the opposite side, and you’ll obtain a “slice” from one edge/vert to the other.

Thank you very much. Worked perfectly.

I knew of Shift-C and ALT-C, but didnt know of C. Thank you…

Ctrl+L should do what you originally asked for
