Configuring Warp effect on text?

Hello everybody!

I’m trying to configure the Warp effect on a text.

I applied it on this text:

Ok, but the problem is when I try to rotate it in the Z axis, it gives me a distortion on the text, like this:

I would like it to be like this:
http://www.francoandrade.com/stuff/warp3.jpg

Does anyone know how to preserve the first distortion when I rotate it? Does AE has any option like “break a part” in Flash?

You can pre-compose it, then transform it. (Ctrl+Shift+C)

looks like you need to relocate the pivot point after you precomp it.
im not familiar with flash,but if break apart actually breaks or explodes something apart,then you could use shatter in AE
