I have been looking through a log of concept art lately, and find that a lot of it is done in line art if it is done in pencil. Is this technique used because they are going to redo the image in cg once they get the basic composition layed out, or is all concept art done as quickly as possible no matter what technique?

the main idea of a pre poduction concept art is that once it gets done it has to be modelled.the modeller will need to see all details to model it properly and thats why line art is preferred.tho any kind of technique can be used if you can pull it off without losing the detail part to a level
