Concept Art Mini challenge... Would you guys be interested?

#1

Hey guys
Would you be interested in a concept art mini challenge?
The idea is that the concept art would be used for a future HCR modeling challenge and a FXwars challenge.

What do you guys think?

I’d be keen, although the quality of my artwork is sufficiently low that nobody would want to use it

#3

Im definetly in!
I also have the same problem as GeorgeB but I dont think its a big problem

Lets do it! and actually, what do we even have to do?

#4

I would totally think about it and then lose my nerve at the last second or hate my work and give up. But other than that yes I’m in.

#5

Similar to my foreposters ( nice word I just invented ),

I would be interested but doubt the feeling would be mutual from the 3d artists. Anyways, since I wanted to practice “hard surface sketching” I’d be in.

Yes please!

#7

Sounds really interesting, count me in.

#8

absolutely.

Ok this is sort of thing that would be done in a couple of months…

the idea is:

the concept art is done here,

the modeling is done in HCR modeling

and the FX are done in FX wars…

The universes I plan to use are:

Flash Gordon &
Dune

#10

I think I would rather model than concept

#11

So I’m following all the different threads Roberto and…
Flash Gordon? Where did that come from?

#12

FLASH! AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaah! Savior of the Universe!!

Now I finally have to try to watch the whole movie…

#13

Lol, Queen could make anything epic.

#14

Hedging my bets…

I been wanting to do a Flahs Gordon Challenge FOR A LONG TIME, but to be honest on tis own, I doubt I can get enough interest.

But I I combine it with Dune, well I can make into a competition to see what artist can make it more epic

Think About it… it is

TOTO vs QUEEN.
