composition settings

hi i have a problem with my composition settings. Basically im making a 2d animation using photoshop and after effects, each scene is a different composition and im going to combine them into 1 large composition to make the movie, and convert it into quicktime. My problem is i don’t know what size to make the composition so it will fit nicely like a rectangle when people are watching it versus a square. (Which it is now). This is my first time in after effects and i really need help. Thanks

You can choose the preset within AE. A simple way to make a rectangular output view by monitor is to choose HDTV.
