Compositing

#1

As a new comer to compositing. Which software would be best to get my feet wet and learn the fundamentals of compositing? Or are they all the same and it doesnt really matter?

Thanks

Definitely not all the same.

Adobe has a 30 day trial of After Effects if you are interested…Check out www.videocopilot.net to get some great tutorials for using it.
You’ll want to buy it when you’re done.

If your on the mac platform shake is cheap and will teach you node based compositing which is pretty much the norm on feature films.
