Compositing Software choices?

Hi…I have to make a decision of choosing the bast value for money compositing and visual effects software.

My obvious choices are combustion and DFX+ with modules. Majority of our work will revolve around commercials and maybe even films in the future.

My choices revolve around combustion and DFX+ with modules 1,2,3,4,6 & 7 for around 1200$…are there any other professional/cheaper alternatives

I would like to know an unbiased opinion of which would be a better choice for us…DFX+ or Combustion.

Would DFX+ 8bit be a problem for commercials?
