Compositing Render Image - Alpha Segmented Edge

Hi everyone!

Not sure this is the right place but the subject is “multidisciplinar”…

So: using 3dsmax+Vray I’ve rendered and interior scene with some furnitures. These furnitures have a somple with lambertian material.

Then I’ve applied a series of different materials on different furnitures rendering both the beauty pass and the alpha pass.

I’m doing that for a “Configurator Application” where the user simply configure the interior with materials he prefers.

The problem is that I see a thin white border around a furniture once I apply it upon the white base furniture.

I’m not sure how to solve it. It should be a mix of 3dsmax+vray side and photoshop side.

It’s most likely the way Photoshop interprets alpha. Try Layer->Matte->Remove White Matte. Make an Action for it if you have a lot of elements and then Automate->Batch.
