hi does anyone know of any good tutorials for combustion other than the ones on the cd and off 3d buzz? Also how do i go about producing a white intense flash in combustion?

Hi,

Create a white solid layer. Animate the opacity of the layer up and down fairly quickly for your white flash.

cheers, I’ll give it a go, know of any decent tutorials that are a little more experimental and intermediate than the ones that ship with combustion?

Also if you’re trying to do an effect like film burning out, you’re better off using an animated levels or brightness & contrast effect - it looks a bit more organic. Do it over about 4 frames with a ramp in and out.
