Combustion 4: Switching between 2 clips

Sorry if this dumb, but I have to clips in my workspace and I want to fade from one clip to another then back again.

How do I do this? Or is it better to do this kind of stuff in a NLE?

Lay the clips one on top of the other and change the opacity of the top layer from 100% over time to 0%.

You can also use the edit operator.

Thanks for the reply. After messing around for a hour I got this. I used a gradient wipe and set up a couple of key frames in the amount option.
