ColorChecker, Photoshop, rendering and color matching

#1

Sorry for the long headline, but I am not sure where to start in something that might be either complicated or very simple.

Basically, I want to do a colour matching/calibration on archviz renders. Initially, I got a facade with a colour that has a given NCS color. Knowing the NCS colour, I can turn it to RGB.

I know that when I render the image, lots of things do affect the end colours.

So I started to think if it was possible to put a surface with a ColorChecker Passport texture on it, with the purpose of using it to calibrate the rendering. Or, a surface with the NCS colour.

My question is if this could work. And how should I prepare this “digital ColorChecker Passport” and how shall I calibrate it so that the render will turn out mimicking the correct facade color for example.

Looking forward to input and suggestions.

This is not my render, but think of this image; could this be calibrated?
