Client Programmer - Sierra Online

Sierra Online is looking for a Client Programmer to design and implement new game systems and client side features for our ground-breaking online products currently in development. Proven experience in client programming, outstanding math skills, and a passion for playing massively multiplayer games is strongly desired.</H1>Responsibilities:

[li]Implementation, maintenance, integration and support client side graphics systems
[/li][li]Provide creative solutions to technical problems and see that they are carried to completion
[/li][li]Post and fix bugs on all aspects of the client, and be proactive at fixing issues that are discovered
[/li][li]Take part in the Code Review process and improve upon existing source code when appropriate
[/li][li]Provide a complete task list and schedule for responsible work. Inform others when the schedule is at risk
[/li][li]Work with game programmers, producers, quality assurance, and management to achieve feature and performance goals
[/li][li]Work with the client leads, tools leads, and services leads to establish and maintain coding processes, standards, and methodologies
[/li][/ul]Requirements:
[ul]
[li]4+ years of C/C++ and object oriented design experience required
[/li][li]Expertise in one or more of the following specialties: physics, 3D graphics/rendering, audio, game logic, cameras, animations and game tools is required
[/li][li]Strong knowledge of 3D math required
[/li][li]Experience with DirectX
[/li][li]Experience with Windows programming
[/li][li]Experience with HLSL
[/li][li]Required experience in advanced lighting and shading techniques
[/li][li]Preferred experience in modeling with 3D Studio max
[/li][li]Preferred experience in animation programming
[/li][li]Preferred experience in working in an agile development environment
[/li][li]Excellent team and communication skills required
[/li][li]Ability to work well in a team environment with schedules and reliable milestone delivery
[/li][li]Shipped at least two titles in the game industry
[/li][li]Passion for playing and making computer games
[/li][li]B.S. in computer science or a related field a plus
[/li][li]Willing to work on site in Issaquah, WA
