classic linear and dual quaternion in same skin?

hi
I think it is not possible but I´ll ask just in case.
Is it possible to have classic linear and dual quaternion in same skin? So jom joint act as dual quaternion and others as classic skin?

Yes, just use the Blended mode and paint a map to control the linear/spherical areas. One of the intro-to Maya 2011 videos on the AD site demonstrates this.
