Hi I’m not new to photoshop, but have only used it in one way up untill now, so I have a question that is quite noobish 
How do I create a circle? I use the ellipse tool, but it fills the circle and I just want the outline.

If you’re using the vector tools, open the Styles window and choose 1 Px Stroke, 0% Fill. Hold down shift and drag. To further edit the stroke and fill, double click on the layer in the palette to bring up the Layer Style window.
If you want a bitmap image, use the elliptical marquee tool, hold shift and drag. Control click and choose “Stroke”.
