Cintiqs and Mudbox 2010

#1

I have tried out the trial of Mudbox 2010 on two different machines. One with XP 32-bit with a cintiq 12wx and one with Windows 7 64-bit and a cintiq 18sx. On both machines the cursor does not line up with the pen in Mudbox. Everywhere you try to sculpt on a model the stroke is slightly to the left of the cursor. This is not an issue with other applications like Zbrush or Photoshop CS4 on the same machines so I know it isn’t the displays or a calibration issue. The issue is specific only to the new Mudbox 2010. Are other people experiencing this that use Mudbox 2010 with a cintiq? It makes the new version unusable with a cintiq IMO. I would like to hear if people are experiencing this and if this is a known issue.

I haven’t seen the problem, I use the 21inch cintiq. Maybe it’s a videocard issue of some sort? Mudbox is pretty picky about having the latest drivers for whatever videocard you’re using. Maybe somewhere to start at least, good luck.

Yes still an issue with the latest drivers installed and all. I am using a 9800gt at home with 512mb of video memory. I just don’t get it. Must be a bug  Thanks for the response anyways. Hope Autodesk fixes this one. Looks like I am not alone because there are a few people on the polycount forum and the AREA forum that are having the same issues.

A little late, but did your problem ever get solved. I’m interested in pairing Mudbox with a Cintiq pretty soon.

Thanks,
