In the past I used 3DS Max and V-Ray and while using it there was an option that would let me check my exposure to make sure my whites weren’t getting clamped or over exposed. I’m looking for a similar feature but with Maya Render View. Is this possible? Thank you.

if you’re using v-ray, you can enable the v-ray frame buffer which has an options to clamp/unclamp whites.

That sounds like what I am looking for but inside of mental ray. I think it is safe to assume that mental ray doesn’t have this feature. Not a big deal I guess, there are ways to work around it or check it using Photoshop or After Effects. Just less convenient.
