Character Illustration: Slot

Alright, this took me a hell of a time. Especially on my slow PC and a 600dpi image. It’s for an imtermdiate anatomy final and will be printed on a large poster 20-something" x 30-something". anywho. here’s the image

things you can’t see or wont understand:
black lightning
a bunch of pillars coming up from the clouds
there’s another character on the crumbling pillar on the upper left hand corner

I don’t understand what the hell the big silver thing is.

looks like a wierd piece of armor.

yeah. it’s a large piece of armor that goes over his thigh/upper leg area
