#1

Hi all,

This is a special pre-announcement for all CGSociety members for our upcoming CGWorkshops online class on ‘Texturing for Production’ with Leigh van der Byl of CafeFX.

Surface Tension – Texturing for Production with Leigh van der Byl
http://www.cgworkshops.com/courses/000004/

CGSociety members are invited to enroll for this course prior to it being opened to the general public. Student numbers will be strictly limited to 20 places and all CGWorkshops fill quickly so don’t hesitate as this course is bound to be popular. Remember: CGSociety Members also receive a 5% discount on all CGWorkshops.

Over eight weeks the course will investigate texture resolution, image optimization, uv mapping, photo manipulation, reflection mapping, and more.

Leigh van der Byl will impart some of her extensive skills in the many aspects of texture painting as well as share some ‘tricks of the trade’. Drawing on her significant feature film and TVC experience Leigh will also help students develop a workflow that will readily translate into a commercial production environment.

For more details and enrolment information go to http://www.cgworkshops.com/courses/000004/
Course Begins: 15 July 2005
Course Ends: 01 September 2005
Active weeks: 8

Looks great, only one problem from my point of view, I have no money

Will any of these courses be repeated at all?

#3

yeah i was wondering about repeats to cause right now i dont have the time but interested in a few of them

#4

I’m just wondering where Leigh gets all the time to do everything she does.

#5

She has a clone. :scream: (Yes, really, she does, her clone is back home in South Africa…)

Seriously though, this looks great, too bad I can’t afford it. Don’t get me wrong, I believe it’s worth every penny!!

#6

I can always make the time for noble endeavours (ie spreading good/useful practises!)

Regarding repeats, that’s mostly up to CG Workshops, but I am happy to repeat it at a later stage.

#7

Hmmm… I can afford it, but I don’t think I have the time! Yarrgh! The eternal loop! :scream:

My texture skills are sincerely in need of a tune up, so I might try and fit it in, then make work pay for it!
