I still don’t know how to render it properly, so this is a screenshot. I was going to put it in maya (add eyes, fins and a few teeth), but I’ll wait until I get Maya 6.5

Well here is the update as promised.
Still on holiday (for us Yanks vacation) back home.
Today we took my sis pub on a spin around the island of PR.

It’s a pain in the…ahem… but there have been some other developements so I might be back home on the 15th if I’m a good girl lol. So I decided to treat myself to some new paper and make the best out of the university copiers!

so many great pieces and images solos work and robertos and mr.teas photos and valentinas zbrush and the list is endless. Its one of those i feel useless, unartistic no imagination, crapmaking days :sad: but i have to post a wip even if i dont want to because rebecca would kill me if i dont. i dont want to bring out the rath of a crazy korean girl
still in WIP as i need to find a way to make a reallistic LCD screen. been looking on the internet about how an lcd works and was looking att the different layers to make a layered shader to emulate the lcd screen.
but there must be and easier way to make it. right now i have a diellectic mental ray shader for the glass of the lcd and a shadow trasparency node as well but when i turn the camera on a angle the glass becomes matte and mostly reflective. which is stupid because in the real world it would be somewhat transparent as well as refractive as it should. anyway c&c always welcome. be gentle i bruise easily

Well the purpose behind that face basically evolved from an idea I had for a short story.
What if mankind goes to sleep, just to wake-up as something that is not resembling human anymore. Basically, what would happen in a world in which ppl are not looking like what they used to be, even worse: look disgusting and horrendous, measured on the aesthetical values that were worshipped in society before. It’s an interesting thought to follow. How would ppl get around it? Would they simply fall into madness?
And so I ended up messing around in trying to get the right expression of how someone might look that gazes into what has become his new self, I might extend it to a more dynamic scene and perspective, once I am satisfied.

Bah, you are way creative mate! Not only in your artistic qualities, but also in the ways you are working around the limitations of your equipment! 
That Nokia logo looks a bit strange to me. Feels a bit flat. Also that microphone/loudspeaker thingy there, seems to have a bit too sharp angles. Love the surface of the bottom-side. Feels pretty realistic.

Almost looks anime, doesn’t it? I have the exact same jacket, got it off a sale in Terranova, otherwise their stuff isn’t worth it. It turned out to be a good buy, having mind how little I got it for.
