CGS Logo/Insignia : VOTE!

pretty simple, we need a logo/insignia on our DMIII entries that represent the CGSociety…

Insignia and Colors:
Your character must possess your team’s colors and/or your team’s insignia (if your team has one). If you don’t have the colors or the insignia located somewhere on your character, your entry will not make it into the top 50. Please represent your team properly. This is a team event so make your team proud! [link]

7 got my vote, wasn’t an easy choice, 3 is extremely good too.

I voted 3. It looks, in my opinion, the most like a coat-of-arms or insignia of some large army.

Tough to pick, but 3 won me over.

i went with 3 too. As a whole i liked the overal shape it was in. It seemed like a insignia that could have a lot of uses on a character.

I chose 3 but I think 5’s simpler design (excluding the shafted holder) would have been more appropriate, tho it’s low res bitmap and poopy presentation let it down big.

A slightly more simple verson of 3 would be nice… Fewer pointy shapes, easier to copy and a better small read. But oh well. Will a vector version of the design be available so we can just drop them into our images, perchance?

Currently it’s not available in vectors but if this version wil win the poll then i’ll make it in vectors it’s not a problem. :slight_smile:
Is it Ok if i’ll make it in shapes in Photoshop?

Second what Nonie said, I voted for 6 because of that. I plan to have a very large logo to cover a great bit of my char’s cloth, so it would be nice with a logo that doesnt scream of attention!:scream: Anyhow, 3 IS a worthy winner.

Agreed. I went with 7 in the end too, 3 was a bit too detailed for my taste. Another one I liked was 9, simply because it was the original CG+sword design. Then again, none of them looks bad, so I’m looking forward to whatever gets the vote.

Very nice ones all of them, but I will pick #3 as it is gives a serious war feel, just the right amount of detail.

Yeah Photoshop shapes is best for me anyway, I work in good ole Photoshop.

I liked 3, 6, 8, and 10.
But 3 wins my vote! :thumbsup:

eirenicon thanks for advice :slight_smile: but i already did a vector version in PS, it needs a final touches and it’s completed. Tomorrow i think. That’s offcourse if this version will win the poll.

Anyway i think i’ll use your sugestion in future logo designs for other projects, thanks :slight_smile:

3 is good,
The middle logo is -I think- more powerfull alone, without externals shapes. But ok, this is the one.

I LOVE 6 and 3… but its hard to pick just one… well since I have too… guess 3 because it does look like an insignia for an army. I like 3 because it’ll match more with my design, but I don’t want to vote so selfishly.

3 Seems a clear winner. And yes, it’s best by itself without the background elements.
