Yet another topic that kinda leaves me…not all that inspired, but- heck- here’s something. Got a bit carried way with perspective experimentation, thus I was left with no time to really fill the room up, but well…

(~80min) Verve

Here’s a 10min little add-on, just to clarify! :stuck_out_tongue:

I was going to tell you that there is a suggestions topic but it seems you already find it hehe!

Really good sketch again and I like the characteristic dog! Looks very friendly

I dont know what has gotten into me, but lately I have made only bad sketches / paintings.
Here is one with Comic style.

What nonsense, I really enjoy your paintings a lot! They’re a piece of your mind and alive, which is a total blessing to witness. Doesn’t all have to be embellished by fine techniques or the likes. I still feel totally rigid myself, rusty from years of ignoring painting. I’m almost hoping we get to do some more 30min or even just 15min doodles. They’d help to loosen up a little. But the topics should then invite such free thinking and not reference any existing characters or shows.

Anyway, I think your take on Sherlock feels like a fun illustration. Nothing wrong with it at all!

Thanks Taron for the encouragement! I was just having the moment of frustration hehe! The other sketch I made after came already better.

Those really fast sketches are actually good idea because then when u cant go to details.
Im currently sketching with Surface Pro and I try to sketch everyday something I see (mostly the environment). Im trying to keep these sketches very short and trying to sell the idea of the “sketch” very early

That’s such a good idea. I keep making little doodles, but more or less just testing my code. To do quick sketches to capture a concrete image or vision is a fantastic idea. I shall think of ways to do that, too. I used to experiment with atmospheres that way, but never really took it any further.

I gotta check your sketchbook again. Are you updating it regularly? (Eh, I could just go check it out…pfff!)

THANKS!
