Nice, Sazem! I know how tough it is to do cars and you really captured it well! Instantly recognizable, too!

I’m not much of a Stephen King fan and never knew any “covers”, but I remembered “It”, which I really liked, when I was a teen. So here’s my take on it…

(~1.5h + 1min extra layer) Verve

I’ve merged all the layers and made a dry version of it, which is kind of nice, too:

Absolute amazing work Taron!! Stunning brushwork. No crits.

              Here's mine:
              I haven't read anything from Stephen King yet... really not my cup of tea, but I'm a huge Kubrick fan, so I simply made a poster for the movie The Shining (hope that is Ok). It actually refers to the famous trailer for the film, which I used as a reference.
              ~3,5 h - Gnaah, I'm so slow with hard surface painting. Always a pain, I have much to learn, learn, learn.

   Btw, I mirrored some parts in the pic, is this actually allowed? Or is it considered cheating? Maybe, I will repaint some parts later, when I find some more time. :wip:

Heck no, mirror away to your hearts content. Especially if it turns out like this. That looks in every way like a legit poster! love how you pulled up the walls and down the reflection. It gives the whole thing a gothic touch. Gorgeous!

A damn, the shining, yes, well…it’s not like people didn’t do some amazing movies with King’s work. I once, however, tried to read one of his books and it felt like an insult to my imagination and an assault on my patience. Every tiny detail is described and that’s really, really bad. Shut your mind down sort of “literature”. Certainly ideal candidates for screenplays, because nothing much has to be added to the pages.

Anyway, Shining is pretty high up in my favorite flicks, too. And Shaw Shank Redemption was quite fantastic, too. Damned… :banghead: …well they all seem to make good movies.

Thanks for the feedback, too! :love:

@The Taron

I am absolutely stunned! Beautiful painting!

@Xharthok

Great idea! I love the fact that the elevator lookslike a face. Great typography!

Your jobs are great, guys!!! I contribute with my favorite character, Roland, the gunslinger of the Dark Tower, maybe took me too long, 3 days, but at least I’m happy. There isn´t movie yet about this Story; in the present I am reading the fifth book…

I can see him in my mind with a similar style to Clint Eastwood :hmm:
