Oops, went a bit over an hour on that one…one can underestimate the care it requires to make some cleaner line work.

I like the story u had going on there!

I was crazy about dinosaurus when I was a boy. When Jurassic Park came, it was like a gift from heaven for me (I was something like 7?). So I tried to sketch my self in this one

Very cute Sampo. Reminds me of when Jurrasic Park came out I was a camp counselor over a class of 5-6 yr old boys. All they talked about was dinosaurs and they wanted to go out hunting for Jurrasic Park dinosaurs every chance they could.

Sweet, Sazem, so easy to empathize with you through this sketch! Good stuff! I never quite got the craze over Jurassic Park, while I was impressed and excited about it then, but don’t remember feeling that it was life-changing to me, like so many of our industry keep saying. Seeing the first copy of Lightwave show up in Germany, now that was life-changing to me, hehehe. Ron Thornton’s Characters on the back, that felt exciting and reaffirming to me that I was on the right track. Hmmm…don’t know, if I ever got around telling him that? Weird…
Anyway, to me it had always been rather a blow to the stomach, if something excellent was done that I might have considered exploring, because then there was no need for me to try and limp after it, so to say. In case of JP it wasn’t too much trouble, though, because a lot of the most amazing shots were animatronics or life action models and the CG shots used tremendous resources and a giant company to be pulled off. I did feel a push to see, if something similar could be done at home, though, that’s for sure.

Wyatt, c’mon, make a silly little sketch to go with your posts, I always get so excited to see a reply and sad to see only a great spirit in them… and a great spirit you have for sure. Just checked out your blog and the cosplay with your son Darius. Man, you guys make me happy, looking like having a rightful blast!

Argh, Myridiphis, that looks so mean!:scream:
Those poor big fellows are always the cute ones…herbivores and all. Nice painting, though! Looking forward to more!
