Ruin Entertainment is seeking CG artists for a fantasy RTS/RPG game in the works.
One should note however that the positions below are not paid. The RTS/RPG title is planned to be commercial and we are working very hard towards that goal. Artists will be fully reimbursed with royalties once the game is published.
We have spent the past year to extensively code our own engine. Some of the engine features include:
- Fully 3D engine powered by OpenGL
- Terrain system supporting large scale terrains with 256 textures at most
- Built-in tool for placing high polygonal cliffs and water planes
- Easy-to-use map editor
- Dynamic time and lighting
- Season change with weather effects
- Skydome, sun/moon, stars
- Fuly customisable camera
- Powerful cinematic builder (using the map editor)
- Parsing tool for resources
- Efficient optimization of rendering by the means of quadtree
- Large number of units supported without slowdowns

The positions open are as follows.
3D Modeler: Experience in 3DS Max, Lightwave or Maya is essential and prior low polygonal modelling experience is welcomed.
Animator: Needs a lot of experience in either skeletal or vertex animation. Must be able to work with concept art in preparing fluid animations.
Texture artist: Photoshop experience is required and an applicant must be able to create various different textures seamlessly such as metal, grass, wood, stone etc
