Castle - 3D set Extension

#1

I was working on this shot last week and I would like to get reviews on it. It is not complete yet.

I approximately spent a week on it. I didn’t spend much time on the design. :frowning:

Good work, looks like it was a difficult job, only one thing comes to mind. The two towers bottom left outer wall seem to be leaning outwards slightly, everything really good.

That castle was in Highlander, the one where Connor McLeod was thrown out of for witchcraft, the film had a nice matte painting of the castle, looking across the bridge, think it was the late Ray Caple.

love to see more like this,

Richie

Thanks a lot Richard … I agree I need to fix the placement of those left towers… there are few more tracking issues…
I also need to take care of the black levels and the bluish tone in the CG shadows…And also add lot of rocks and grass to integrate the cg part better …

Hey Rohit, thats good work

Hey Rohit, nice work so far! Watch out for the wall and the farmost wall tower on the left - they have different light than the rest of the scene (there should be some cast shadow there)

Thanks a lot Ashish and Tiberius …
Yes the lighting is the biggest issue i can see right now. I should play more with it. I will be working on it more and update show you the updated version

thanks again for the feedback

Great work so far,

I agree with Tiberius, you elements on screen right has a lot cooler shadows. Your outer walls are also sliding off the ground screen left lower corner.

Some shadows are sliding too, screen left lower and the windows on the same side are flickering… small things to make your work awesome!

Maybe adjust the tracking or raise the geo, whichever is faster.

Still great work! :applause:

Thank you so much for the comments Eric Dima-ala … I will certainly work on these points…

@seema … haha thanks a lot :D… I am having fun …really enjoying my 1st matte painting job…you were right…I kind of showed environment art skills in my reel…and I am kind of working as an environment artist/matte artist… :D…
