Can you use the Duplicate Symmetry in XSI 7?
In order to use this time, no new objects, and the following tips:

’ ERROR : 2011 - Member not found - [line 2096 in d:\Softimage7\XSI_7.0\Application\DSScripts\duplicate.vbs]
DuplicateSymmetry

Do you?

I started a thread about that amongst other things, it’s called ‘Rigging with symmetry’, a couple of posts down.

I had that problem, and it turns out it was my rotation/translation limits on certain objects.

But,the position/rotation limits dose not open.

Can’t understand what you meant here.

Another thing… the Softimage Hierarquical scaling must be turned ON to the duplicate symmetry work.

By default it’s on. You can check that in the kinematics property, select the object and Ctrl+k.

Hi
there’s a bug in the kinematic ppg, it’s quite random, but it’s not showing the sliders when activating the limits so you can’t set them.

I’m currently running into the same problem, and the Autorigging script from 3D Quakers I’ve been using a lot no longer seems to work in XSI 7 because of it.

It looks like there’s a problem with duplicated objects and setting rotation and position limits.

you can simply replicate the error by opening the script editor, creating a Null, duplicate it, open the Kinematics panel and activate the X, Y or Z pos. or rot. limit on the copy.
In the script editor you’ll probably see this: “ERROR : 2011-EDIT-SetValue - Member not found”, and it won’t show the limit sliders as mr-dooo pointed out already.

Has anyone found a solution for this ?

Thanks
